Thematic

In the exact location of the former foundation of the bridge that crossed the turbulent Salmon River, the Lingwick Shed overlooks this pastoral riverbank landscape. The mutual support demonstrated by the residents of Lingwick to ensure the development and survival of this corner of the world is showcased here. Scots and French Canadians shared the same reality, but each marked this corner of the Haut-Saint-François region in their own way. Their inventiveness and creativity are highlighted in this shed, as a tribute to this cohabitation as well as the heritage of cultural traits they have passed on.
